Here is a beautifully illumined copy of Man of Sorrows, a book written by Elbert Hubbard, published in 1905 by the Roycrofters in East Aurora, New York. With silk moire endpapers and an an elaborately watercolored title page in an unusual style for the Roycrofters. 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″, 112 text pages.
The book is very good with an embossed suede cover, a little splitting of overhannging spine ends. Inside, former owner’s name on endpaper, some loosening of spine but everything holding together, text pages very good. Also included as a bonus is a suede copy of Hubbard’s White Hyacinths in only fair condition with substantial wear to covers.
