Here is an unusual lot of Roycroft material related to speaking engagements by founder Elbert Hubbard. Hubbard was a well known lecturer in the early 1900s–I guess he’d be called a “motivational speaker” today. Lot of 4 items includes an original Private Mailing Card (early postcard) with his photo and an invitation to his “Spirit of the Times” lecture at Correll’s Hall in Easton, PA, 1907. Unused. Next is a large 4 page flyer about Hubbard and his lectures with details of his “An Age of Commonsense” lecture on the back, originally in Iowa City, but apparently changed to Easton PA based on the pencil notations. Next is a complimentary 4 page leaflet extracted from the Denver Post. And finally, a cutout with some additional quotes about Hubbard’s genius, likely from a Roycroft publication.
Postcard in very good condition, flyer and leaflet in fair condition as shown.
