An interesting L Frank Baum short story, The Suicide of Kiaros, in the Nov 1954 issue of Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine. This crime tale about was first published in a rare 1897 publication called The White Elephant. OzWikia says “Some readers have considered “The Suicide of Kiaros” one of Baum’s best short pieces, as well as a rare display of the writer’s dark side.” Personally, I don’t see much in it. But you’ll want to decide for yourself. Here, 11 pages including introduction about Baum and his work. With a number of other stories and, interestingly, with what appears to be a dead Scarecrow/man on the cover, but that seems to be from a different story. Magazine is in good condition with light edge wear, staining and age toning.
