W.W. DENSLOW American Artist 1973 Forgotten Illustrator of Oz Michael Patrick Hearn

In stock

Here is an interesting item for the serious collector of WW Denslow of Wizard of Oz fame. This May 1973 American Artist magazine has an early article by Oz scholar Michael Patrick Hearn called “W W Denslow: The Forgotten Illustrator”.  Six pages of information on the fascinating man who illustrated not only Baum’s Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but hundreds of other books, magazines, newspaper articles, posters, and ephemera.  Illustrated with rare Denslow items in both B&W and color.

Magazine has some cover wear and wrinkling; article in very good condition.

Please check out the “Oz Illustrators” section in my store for other unusual Denslow items.
