Here is The Songs of Father Goose book, by L. Frank Baum and illustrated by the prolific W. W. Denslow. Circa 1909, this is the Bobbs-Merrill printing in binding A, with the red cloth spine as used in the 1st edition by Geo. M. Hill. The oversized book has 84 pages and many individual songs, each illustrated with a black and white full page by Denslow. The Denslow illustrations, as usual, are very clever and fabulous!
The book is in good condition with the front cover graphics still in nice condition, but with some paper loss to the corner not affecting the graphics. Rear cover has some wear and an edge ding. The spine is intact with light edge wear. Inside, the endpapers have some age browning as shown. The rear hinge is cracked with evidence of prior glue repair. The binding is a little loose. The text pages are in nice condition with light soiling, but no writing, tears or coloring. A rather hard Baum/Denslow collaboration to find in decent condition, at a good price.
