Here is a wonderful vintage valentine featuring a ruby red slipper, similar to those worn by Judy Garland in the MGM Wizard of Oz movie. This is not part of the Loew’s set of 12 valentines, but probably came out around the same time, late 1930s. These early valentines are hard to find. This one asks “Could you Slipper Little Love My Way?” and inside “and Be My Valentine”. It is about 4″ long folded.
Front and rear slipper are in nice condition, interior has an inscription. A unique addition to your Oz collection!
