Here is a wonderful vintage valentine featuring a ruby red slipper, similar to those worn by Judy Garland in the MGM Wizard of Oz movie. This is not part of the Loew’s set of 12, but probably came out around the same time, ca 1940. These early valentines are hard to find. This one asks “Could you Slipper Little Love My Way?” and inside “and Be My Valentine”. It is about 4″ long folded.
Front slipper is near perfect, interior has a little discoloration, and back side has a name in pen and a fold mark. A unique addition to your Oz collection!
