This is a fun lot of 3 advertising trade cards from 18953, lithographed by George M Hayes (Philadelphia). Oz illustrator W W Denslow designed for Hayes during this period, and these could be his work, but I’m not sure since he didn’t sign his work for Hayes. Groups of 3 and horticultural adornments as shown in these cards were one of the devices he used in his other work. Regardless, the cards are very attractive and fun to collect. Without advertising on the front or back, so possibly proof cards?
The cards are in generally good condition with some staining on two cards, and a little scuffing on the cats card.
