Stunning menu from the Judy Garland’s premier Las Vegas performance at the Venus Room at the New Frontier Hotel. Measures 14 x 10″, bound with gold tassel, gilt embellishments. Includes the menu, a wine list, and a photo of Judy with printed signature bound in. At the top of the menu is “World Premiere Night Club Performance of Miss Judy Garland. Please do not ask for Service during Miss Garland’s Performance.” Dessert was rainbow sherbet or strawberry shortcake. Judy performed for four weeks and earned $55,000/week, and was extended for an additional week. Critics raved.

The New Frontier (formerly Last Frontier and The Frontier) casino and hotel was the second one that opened on the Las Vegas Strip and operated continuously 1942 to 2007.

The piece has wonderful midcentury graphics depicting a centaur with a knight’s helmet, a unicorn, and a woman on a magic carpet with lobster claws. The exterior is in fair to good condition with substantial wrinkling as shown and a tiny tear at bottom edge. The interior menu and photo are very good. A scarce survivor. I can only find reproductions online currently.
