Here is an original “The Theatre” magazine bound volume from 1909, with 6 issues: July through Christmas 1909. Packed with hundreds of pages and photographs of theater presentations and news of the day, but of special interest to us is the two-page, detailed interview of Wizard of Oz author L. Frank Baum. In the article, Baum discusses three planned plays that apparently never came to pass: The Pipes o’ Pan (with Tietjens), Ozma of Oz (or The Rainbow’s Daughter), and another unnamed play involves producer Dillingham and Wizard actors Montgomery & Stone. There are also two nice photographic images of Baum and his “winter home” in Coronado. There is some fading to the cover cloth, and one loose ad page at the back, but the binding and pages are in quite nice shape overall. This is a large book–about 10″x14″ and over 6 pounds. My price has the extra shipping costs over a standard book built in, so you won’t have to pay any extra.
