For your enjoyment, an unusual hardcover copy of Chrome Yellow, a short story by L Frank Baum. Printed for the first time in 2013 from a surviving manuscript at Syracuse University; illustrations by John Mundt. Published by Pumpernickel Pickle and hand-bound by Marcus Mebes as a premium for a few members of the Oz Club, each with a little different binding; scarce. The story is a departure from Baum’s fantasy stories, about two men in the orange groves of California with a surprise ending. Did you see it coming?
The little book is just 4 1/2″ x 5 3/4″ and 40 pages. In beautiful, like new condition in a dark blue cloth binding. The last I have left.
