Here is a rare find: one of the Aunt Jane’s Nieces series with intact dust jacket! Collectors have been snapping these up. In the Red Cross is last of the series for girls written by L. Frank Baum (Wizard of Oz author) under the Edith Van Dyne pseudonym. This is the first edn, first printing with the 1915 copyright on the back of title page, and B&W frontispiece by Normal P Hall. Also in a 1st edition dust jacket with decoration around the oval on the cover, front flap with the story synopsis, and rear flap blank.
The book is in very good plus condition–clean cloth, excellent pastedown, spine unfaded. The interior has intact hinges, “1st Edn” written in pencil on endpaper, pages in great shape save for light fold to base of first few pages, beautiful frontispiece. The jacket is in good condition, with light chipping to edges of spine and flaps, spine lettering completely faded with a small stain and the #10 written in pen. Price on the rear cover has been scratched out. See also my other books in this series with dust jackets which I’m listing in my store.
