Description
Interesting book by Wizard of Oz author L. Frank Baum about John Dough, a very unusual gingerbread man. This is copyright 1906, but a circa 1920 early Reilly & Lee edition with 12 color plates and Oz titles in front listing to Glinda of Oz. Illustrated endpapers. Besides the plates, the book has many weird and wonderful drawings by John R. Neill. I’ve actually read this book and it’s pretty entertaining!
This book is in very good condition overall. Cover color pastedown has some scuffing and wear to top right corner. Spine and rear cover are excellent. Inside, the front hinge is cracked and has been partially glue repaired, with a small loss to lower corner of endpaper. Endpapers otherwise are clean. The text and plates are generally in very good condition, a couple small closed edge tears and a little soiling. The plates are in very good condition. A nice complete copy.
