One of the Christmas Stocking series books designed to put inside children’s stockings. With stereotypical drawings of the period. Copyright 1905 by Reilly & Britton, this is the first printing with the title page marked 1905, and a deep red cloth spine.

This tiny book is only about 3″ by 4″ and contains 52 numbered page (+ many blank ones”. Many color illustrations and some b/w ones.

In good plus condition, with some creasing and edge weat to cover, nice spine, clean rear cover. Inside, the endpapers are intact the binding is cracked at the title page and also in the middle of the book, so the gatherings are loose, but still attached. Be gentle with it. The pages are in nice condition, with occasional staining, and there is a 1906 gift inscription in front. A scarce little book.
