Here is an unusual Copp Clark edition of the Road to Oz book, written by L Frank Baum and published in Canada. Copp Clark published many of the Wizard of Oz books in first edition format, and then reprinted just a few in the 40’s. The Road to Oz is one of these. The book itself is not that uncommon, but uncommon in original Copp-Clark dust jacket. This one lists to Scalawagons in Oz, dating the book to about 1941. With B&W illustrations by John R Neill.
Book itself is near fine, with bright pastedown and spine, cloth in great shape with very lightly bumped corners. Internally, tight and clean, although the book was printed on wartime paper that is browning throughout as is usual with this title. The dust jacket is very good, with very light edge wear and a tan stain at base of spine. Overall, a beautiful example of this Copp Clark edition.
