A great item for your Wizard of Oz book collection–The Classical Wizard–Magus Mirabilis in Oz, the Wizard of Oz in Latin. Translated by CJ Hinke (who also wrote Oz in Canada) and George van Buren. Published by Scholar Press in 1987. This book is smaller than the Hill 1st edition of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but has all the original Denslow art in black and white. The cover is close to that 1st edition also, and it comes with a nice dust jacket. All chapter titles, initial capitals, lettering, title page and the dust jacket were hand-drawn after Denslow by Rob Roy MacVeigh. In very good plus condition, just with light wear to dust jacket, including a little foxing to back side of it near top. Nicely done, and a hard to find Wizard of Oz variant.
