Easton Press sells some of the world’s greatest books, bound in genuine leather and accented with 22kt gold. This is a set of 6 heirloom editions, featuring spectacular color reproductions of the artwork from the first editions. The vivid, full-color illustrations (except for Road to Oz which has color pages) by W W Denslow and John R. Neill are true to the Geo. M Hill and Reilly & Britton originals. The leather bindings have banded decorated spines, gilt impressed covers and gilt edges. Inside there are moire silk endpapers (illustrated endpapers bound in) and satin ribbon bookmarks. Published circa 1987-1993, with afterwards by Peter Glassman. Size is 7 7/8″ x 9 1/4″. Includes The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, The Marvelous Land of Oz, Ozma of Oz, The Road to Oz, Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz, and The Emerald City of Oz. Rare to find all 6 together–the only set I can find only is $710, and The Road to Oz seems to be particularly scarce.
The books are in beautiful, near fine condition! Clean inside and out, tight hinges, no writing, marks or tears. All I noticed was that Wizard has a small scuff on cover. Very nice. Additional shipping required for this set.
