Shipping & Returns

Items are shipped one to two business days after purchase unless I am traveling, in which case I will contact you. Vintage books are well wrapped in boxes and stiff backing is used with ephemeral items. Sales tax (7.75%) must be charged to residents in CA. I ship via the U.S. Postal Service. USPS shipping rates have gone up! There is a flat shipping rate of $5.50 for one or multiple small items like ephemera by First Class and flat rate of $5.95 for one or more books by Media Mail. Media Mail does take one or two weeks for delivery, depending on where you live in the U.S. Oversized items like newspaper sheets cost more to ship and are $9.95-$19.95, depending on size and weight. USPS Delivery confirmation (a basic form of tracking) is included.

In the United States, the second option is for USPS Priority Mail; I can usually ship one or two books anywhere in the U.S. in a Flat Rate box for ~$15. Of course if you live near San Diego, contact me at the link below if you’d like to pick up your item for free. Insurance is available upon request.

International buyers: At this time, only DHL is available for international shipments, which is usually ~$70 USD minimum and likely more for heavier books. I’ve had trouble with USPS First Class International arriving, and difficulties in tracking with the USPS. International shipping charges don’t show up automatically in your cart, so just contact me with the items you’re interested in (and your address) for a shipping quote. Customs fees may also be charged by your country.

Wonderful Books of Oz wants you to be completely happy with your purchase! I provide lots of pictures, but sometimes that’s not enough. All items shipped within the U.S. may be returned for a full refund if you contact me within 14 days after you receive it and ship it back in its original packaging. This has happened with <<1% of books that I’ve sold over the past 12 years, so you can purchase from Wonderful Books of Oz with wonderful confidence.

I also have an occasional email newsletter that I send to customers and other interested parties. It is basically a mini-catalog with new listings and other topics of interest. Subscribe below.
